How the Twitter video downloader works
Every post on X has its own address, such as x.com/name/status/123…. Paste it here and SLMtik asks X for the same public video file your browser plays, then hands it to you as a normal MP4. It is a simple Twitter video tool: one box, automatic detection, no extension and no account. The same box also handles TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat links.
Because X is still called Twitter by most people, this page is both a Twitter video downloader and an X video downloader — the old twitter.com links and the new x.com links work exactly the same.
Twitter to MP4: which quality do you get?
X stores most videos in several sizes. SLMtik lists the best ones it finds, usually up to 1080p for videos filmed on a modern phone and 720p for older posts. You do not need a separate X video converter: the download is already an MP4 that plays on every phone, computer, TV and editing app.

How to download Twitter videos without Premium
X lets some Premium subscribers download certain videos inside the app, and only when the poster allows it. For everyone else there is no download button. SLMtik works without Premium and without logging in: as long as the post is public, you can save the video from any device. You do not need a Twitter video downloader shortcut or a bot either — the website does the job in your normal browser.
On iPhone, Android and PC
- iPhone and iPad: open SLMtik in Safari, paste the link and tap the MP4 button. The video goes to Files → Downloads; open it and tap Share → Save Video to put it in Photos. Our guide how to download Twitter videos on iPhone shows every step.
- Android: use Chrome or Samsung Internet. The MP4 lands in your Downloads folder and in the gallery.
- PC and Mac: copy the address from the browser bar on x.com, paste it here and press Enter. The file goes to your Downloads folder.

If X says a post is "unavailable", it cannot be downloaded — deleted and suspended posts are gone for everyone.
Use it fairly
Save posts you made yourself, or that the creator lets you keep, for personal viewing. Re-posting someone else's video or photo — even with credit — needs their permission, and each platform's own terms apply to what you save. Creators who want a post blocked from SLMtik can use our copyright page.
