An online Instagram video downloader
SLMtik is an Instagram video download website that works in the browser you already have. Paste the link of a public video post or Reel, and it fetches the same public file Instagram plays, then gives it to you as an MP4. There is nothing to install and you never log in, so your Instagram account is never involved.
Instagram to MP4: the quality you get
Instagram usually stores HD videos as separate picture and sound streams. SLMtik joins them into one MP4 with sound, so you do not need a separate Instagram MP4 converter. The best quality is normally 1080p; Instagram itself does not keep 4K copies, so any site promising an Instagram 4K video downloader is only enlarging the 1080p file.

Download Instagram videos on PC and Mac
On a computer, open the post on instagram.com, copy the address from the browser bar, paste it here and press Enter. The MP4 goes to your Downloads folder and opens in any player or editor — handy for presentations, lessons or editing your own content. On iPhone the video saves to Files → Downloads (tap Share → Save Video to move it to Photos); on Android it appears in the gallery.
Instagram downloads and watermarks
When you save a Reel with Instagram's own download option, Instagram adds its logo and the username. The public file SLMtik downloads is the video as it was uploaded, without that added overlay. If the creator put their own logo or text in the video, it stays — that is part of their work, and SLMtik never edits or crops videos.
What can be saved
- Public posts, Reels and long videos: yes.
- Private accounts: no — SLMtik never asks for your password.
- Stories and highlights: most need a login and cannot be saved here.
- Deleted posts: no.
Instagram sometimes limits automated requests. If a public video does not load, wait a minute and try again.
Use it fairly
