Plenty of people want to view TikToks without installing the app: on a work computer, on a phone with little storage, or simply to keep TikTok's tracking off their phone. Public TikTok videos are open on the web, so a browser is all you need.
Watch TikTok in a browser
Open tiktok.com in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. The For You feed, search and public profiles all work. TikTok will show a sign-up or "open in app" prompt now and then; close it and you can keep scrolling. On a phone, the mobile site can push you towards the app — switch the browser to "Request desktop site" if it keeps redirecting.
Open a profile or a single video
Type tiktok.com/@username to open a public profile directly, or paste any shared TikTok link into the address bar. Comments may be limited when you are not logged in, but the videos play normally.
Watch without an account — and what you will not see
Without logging in you can watch public videos, profiles and sounds. You cannot see private accounts, friends-only posts or most stories, and you cannot follow, like or comment. Viewing in a browser while logged out does not add you to anyone's profile-viewer list, because there is no account to show.
Watch TikTok in HD on a big screen
On a computer, TikTok's web player shows videos at the quality they were uploaded, usually 1080p. For a TV, the TikTok TV app on Android TV and smart TVs is the official route; avoid unofficial "TikTok TV APK" files from random sites, which can carry malware. Another option: save the video as an MP4 and play it from a USB stick.
